Homework in Sycamore class has several purposes:
- to consolidate learning from the class
- to provide the opportunity for ‘pre-learning’ in preparation for learning
- to provide the opportunity to extend independent skills
- to prepare the children for homework tasks at secondary school
Generally, pupils will receive a Maths Task, English (writing, comprehension or Grammar) or an activity linked to our Topic. They will also have spellings to practise. Excellent effort and beautifully crafted pieces of writing or Topic related tasks, will be shared with the class and rewarded with Dojos. (Dojos earn prizes!)
Children should be reading daily to an adult and using TTRS.
The homework booklet is given out at the start of each unit, examples of work and the booklet can be found on our class Seesaw page.
