At West Felton CofE Primary School, we have a band of Y5/6 Worship Leaders who are nominated by their class teachers annually. Our Worship Leaders participate in Worship Leader training held at one of our churches across the federation.

This year it was held at St. Michael’s Church, West Felton and was lead by Alex Wolvers, our Diocesan advisor and friend of the school. Alex talks to the Worship Leaders about the importance of Team Work and the vital role they play in the school. The children explore what ‘good’ Worship looks like and use our structure of ‘Windows, Mirrors, Doors’ to aide their planning. The children also work their way through various prayer stations, thinking about how they might work in our setting and how they could support our spiritual pathways.

Throughout the year, the Worship Leaders support at all of our church services, they lead our annual Vision & Values Refresh, they plan and lead whole school worship and contribute wholeheartedly to our Christian Distinctiveness.
